This is portrait photography designed to be epic.
We travel together to a location that holds meaning for you or that you wish to explore, wild coastlines, ancient forests, historic cities, or landscapes that shaped who you're becoming.
Over the course of a full day, we create a cinematic body of work that matches the scale of your story.

You're in the middle of something big: a shift, a loss, a beginning, or just finally deciding you're worth documenting.

Location actually matters to you, whether it's somewhere meaningful or just somewhere that feels right for this purpose.

You're ready to plan for this, travel for this, invest in it, and give it the weight it deserves

What's NOT Included (Important to Know)

Travel & Accommodation:

  • Your travel to the destination

  • My travel to the destination (flights, train, car)

  • Accommodation for both of us (typically 1-2 nights depending on location and travel distance)

Typical additional costs: 5,000-15,000 SEK, depending on destination distance and accommodation level

How it works: We discuss location options during your consultation, and I provide a travel cost estimate. You book your own travel and accommodation, and I book mine separately (this will be reflected in your final invoice). This keeps logistics flexible and transparent.

INVESTMENT

Your session can take place anywhere in the EU.
Maybe it's a wild cliffside, a grand historic estate, or the streets of a city that shaped you.

You'll have a full day with me. Time to shift, to move, to rest, to breathe. The result is a body of work with individual portraits. Each one built with intention. Each one reflecting something real, remembered, or just now arriving.

What's included:

  • 1-hour Consultation

  • Full day (6-8 hours give or take)

  • Reveal session to select your final images

  • 20 professionally retouched images delivered as high-resolution digital files

  • Matching Black and White digital copies

  • Matching web-optimised files

Additional images available for purchase.
Starting at 800 SEK per image.

Timeline:

3-6 months before:
Book your session and secure your dates. Destination sessions require advance planning for travel, accommodation, and location permits if needed.

2-3 months before:
We finalize location, scout via maps/photos, plan wardrobe, and coordinate travel logistics.

1 month before:
Confirm all bookings (flights, accommodation, car rental if needed).
Final consultation to review plans and address any last-minute details.

Session day:
Meet on location, spend the full day creating together.

1 week after:
Reveal and Ordering session - you select your favourite images and decide whether to upgrade to a printed album and/or buy wall art.

3 weeks later:
Receive your final edited images. Final approval for prints.

Manfred in santa barbara

I met Manfred at his property in Santa Barbara, surrounded by his horses.
Within minutes, we were walking his land, talking about horses, and the weight of our collective memory, despite our experiences being separated by decades. It was easy. Natural even.
Something in the rhythm of our conversation felt like home. Two Northern Europeans who had crossed oceans and found ourselves in the golden light of Southern California, carrying different stories but the same willingness to be uncomfortable for the sake of adventure.

frequently asked questions

Q: How far in advance should I book?
A: Ideally, 3-6 months. This gives us time to plan logistics, secure accommodations, and ensure I have availability during your preferred travel dates.

Q: Can we do a destination session in my home country if I'm not in the EU?
A: Potentially, depending on location and travel logistics. Contact me to discuss. I've worked in the US and am open to international travel for the right project.

Q: What if the weather is bad on our session day?
A: We plan for this. I monitor forecasts closely and can adjust timing or even reschedule if necessary (within reason). Sometimes dramatic weather creates the most powerful images.

Q: Do you scout locations beforehand?
A: For most destinations, I scout digitally using maps, location guides, and past experience. For unfamiliar locations, we may build in scouting time on arrival day, or I'll research extensively with your input.

Q: Can I bring someone with me (partner, friend, assistant)?
A: Absolutely. Many clients bring a trusted person for support or to help with wardrobe/logistics. Just let me know during planning.

Q: What if I want multiple locations in one day?
A: We can do this if locations are close together and time allows. We'll discuss logistics during your consultation.

Q: Do I need professional hair and makeup?
A: Not required. Most of my clients do their own makeup so they can feel exactly like themselves. However, we can always talk about hiring a local if you want to go that extra mile.

Q: Can we extend the session to multiple days?
A: Yes. We can create a multi-day experience with different locations and looks. Contact me for custom pricing.
