The Water Portraits are a seasonal photography series made in and around water. It's completely unhurried, elemental, and created for the brief stretch of the year when light and water are at their best.
It's moody, ethereal and created in collaboration with the elements.
ABOUT THE SESSIONS
These are quite intimate, single-look photo sessions that are focused entirely on you and your relationship with water. No location changes, no big wardrobe swaps or large setups, just one location, the light nature provides, and portraits that feel like they belong somewhere out of this world altogether.
WHO IS IT FOR?
Some of the people who book me for this style of session are looking to document the deep connection they feel with water. Many are in transition one way or another and use these sessions not only to document that transition but also to dive deeper into it. Pun intended.
Some just really enjoy the aesthetic and dreaminess of this style of photography and want to be immortalised as art.
No matter your reason, they can feel challenging yet liberating, and the outcome is always absolutely out of this world!

Given the nature of the session, they tend to be limited in time. Most people get cold after a while laying in the water and blue lips don't photograph well.

It cost 7000SEK and you'll receive 5 digital portraits. It is absolutely possible to upgrade to one of the digital collections. Those you can read about here:

Most people purchase an additional 10 images.
There is also options for purchasing prints. -
No, anyone can book and participate in a water session. It is however, required that you know how to swim and that you are able to float comfortably.

While I am based in Älmhult in the Småland area of Sweden, these sessions can take place anywhere you wish as long as we have a (healthy) body of water. I do these sessions in the ocean, in pools, streams and lakes, so we can even create in a setting that holds special meaning to you.
I also offer them in the capital region of Denmark, and if you want to book a session but live somewhere else entirely, we can also talk. -
No. I don’t believe in “photogenic.” My role is to guide, observe, and create a space where you feel seen and comfortable. You don’t have to perform; you just have to show up.
